Kalkaska EMS is a hospital-based ambulance service operating through Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. We have an ambulance at the Clearwater Township Fire Station 5 to serve the people of Clearwater Township.
Our team provides:
Emergency 911 Response within our coverage area and mutual aid to surrounding regions.
Interfacility and Non-Emergent Transports locally and regionally.
Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Critical Care Services for both pre-hospital and interfacility needs.
Resources and Capabilities
Fleet: 5 fully staffed ambulances operating 24/7, each with a paramedic and EMT.
Equipment: PL Custom ambulances with Stryker auto-load systems, Stryker stair chairs, Zoll X Series cardiac monitors, Hamilton T1 ventilators, Quinn Flow rapid infusers and warmers, Plum 360 IV pumps, and Air Lift patient movers.
Call Volume: Approximately 3,500 calls annually.
Stations: Four operational stations across the service area.
