Kalkaska EMS

  • Emergency 911 Response within our coverage area and mutual aid to surrounding regions. 
  • Interfacility and Non-Emergent Transports locally and regionally. 
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Critical Care Services for both pre-hospital and interfacility needs. 

Resources and Capabilities 

  • Fleet: 5 fully staffed ambulances operating 24/7, each with a paramedic and EMT. 
  • Equipment: PL Custom ambulances with Stryker auto-load systems, Stryker stair chairs, Zoll X Series cardiac monitors, Hamilton T1 ventilators, Quinn Flow rapid infusers and warmers, Plum 360 IV pumps, and Air Lift patient movers. 
  • Call Volume: Approximately 3,500 calls annually. 
  • Stations: Four operational stations across the service area. 

Community Paramedic Program 

  • Assisting with home safety plans, medication management, and hospital discharge instructions. 
  • Reducing unnecessary ER visits and preventing hospital readmissions.
